1960's era porcelain divided dishes from Shanghai. Originally made to hold sauces for dipping, they also work well as salt and pepper dishes. I use them as watercolor palettes, the size is just right and the glaze is smooth with just enough tooth to 'hold' the paint and water from splashing about.
